Course internationale du Kaiserstuhl - Neuf-Brisach 2027

The Course Internationale du Kaiserstuhl - Neuf-Brisach is a cross-border race held in Ihringen, Germany, situated on the Kaiserstuhl massif between the Vosges and the Black Forest. Its primary event is a 17.8 km trail race featuring 440 m of elevation gain, serving as the opener for the Trophée des Vosges. The day also offers a 9.7 km Nordic walking event and children's races of 3.5 km, 1 km, and 500 m, catering to families, walkers, and runners who appreciate challenging inclines. This event is jointly organized by TV Ihringen and CSL Neuf-Brisach and has been held for multiple editions. The main course begins in Ihringen with 1.3 km on asphalt before ascending vineyard paths along a valley side. The Totenkopf antenna, the Kaiserstuhl's highest point at 557 m, remains visible for a significant portion of the route, and the summit area provides views toward the Black Forest. Following an aid station near km 3, the course crosses wide paths, wooded areas, and numerous small ascents and descents, including two short, steep climbs around km 9 and km 11. The second of these ramps is sufficiently demanding that some participants might resort to power hiking. After the last aid station around km 14, the route descends on a gentler path through light woodland, rejoins vineyard terraces above Ihringen, and concludes with a steep paved downhill section mirroring the initial 500 m.
