Course Nature de la Vie is a December trail event held in Le Poiré-sur-Vie, Vendée, Pays de la Loire, near La Roche-sur-Yon. Established in 2004, it draws over a thousand participants for a winter program featuring trail races, walks, and youth events. The race distances range from short runs to longer, potentially muddy courses, with options from 9 km to 33 km.
The event embraces winter trail running conditions: participants should anticipate rain, mud, and country paths instead of a clear road surface. The schedule features the women-only 5 km Body Nature, the 11 km Trail des Genôts Harmonie Mutuelle, and the 15 km Lepous Coureurs de la Lune, run at night. Sunday offers more challenging daytime races like the 15 km Les Farfadets and the 25 km Entre Ruth et Vie. Its motto, “Trail is life!”, reflects the relaxed, muddy, and varied-distance nature of the weekend.
