Creux de l'Enfer

Creux de l'Enfer is a late-August race in Mignovillard, a village in the Jura area of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in eastern France. It offers road running, trail running, and walking, with distances from 5 km up to 27 km, suitable for walkers, newer runners, and those seeking a longer effort. The routes traverse the local mountain, forest, and countryside around Mignovillard, giving the event a Jura outdoor character rather than a city-road feel. The name translates to “Hollow of Hell,” and the event embraces that challenge with the phrase “Come face a hell of a race.” Besançon is under an hour away, and the Haute Chaîne du Jura nature reserve is another nearby attraction for a weekend visit.
