At the Saint-M'Hervé leisure base in Ille-et-Vilaine, this is a departmental cross-country race for the fire service community, not a standard public road race. It is linked to the département’s fire and rescue service, SDIS 35, and the programme offers runners several distances: 9.5 km, 6.9 km, 5.4 km, 3 km, and 2.7 km.
The field is limited to firefighters, PATS administrative, technical, and specialist staff, plus firefighters’ children and spouses. This makes the day feel more like an internal sporting championship than an open mass race. A recent edition brought together about 450 runners, a solid turnout for a reserved departmental cross-country event. The shorter options accommodate younger runners and family categories, while the longer races suit trained firefighter athletes and club-level runners within the service.
