The Cross du Grillon is a local cross-country race in Dannemarie-sur-Crête, starting at 2:00 PM on Saturday afternoon. The main timed races consist of 6 km for women and 8 km for men, each using a 2 km loop. The event also offers shorter races for younger runners: 0.5 km and 1 km, with some editions featuring a 4 km run without official timing.
Nearly 300 runners participated in the 15th edition, indicating a village-scale race with sufficient depth for strong competition. Matthias Michaut secured victory in the men's race four consecutive times, while Coline Cochet and Mathilde Plesse contended the women's race in a close sprint. Registration is free for all races, except for same-day sign-ups for the 6 km and 8 km, which incur a 3 euro fee.
