The Cyclo Sud Bourgogne - Viré is a two-day cycling event held in Viré, southern Burgundy, organized by the Cyclo Sud Bourgogne association of Tournus. It marks the start of the cycling season, offering road and gravel options that include leisurely cyclotourism rides, rando-sportive choices, cyclosportive courses, and gravel rides that can be completed as a randonnée or timed race.
The routes range from 52 to 135 km, crossing Burgundy’s vineyard regions, secondary roads, and tranquil natural areas near Viré. Saturday features two cyclotourism routes and a gravel start, while Sunday includes three rando and chrono routes. Originally known as La Bourguignonne, the event later resumed under the Cyclo Sud Bourgogne name and now attracts a diverse group of participants; the last edition saw over 870 cyclists start.
