The Duathlon de Marseille is a run-bike-run event held in Marseille, currently based at the Luminy sports faculty. It originated from the Cross duathlon La Fermière, which began in April 2007 at the Fontainieu sports center in the 14th arrondissement. The current program features Duathlon S races, an XS multi-chaining format, and cross duathlon races for children.
The Luminy course is fast, technical, and challenging, with frequent accelerations and some climbing, rather than a consistent, flat pace. The event includes separate S races for women and men, XS races for young athletes and adults, and youth cross duathlons for the youngest participants. It also serves as a qualifying round for the French D3 duathlon circuit. Hervé Pellissier and the Sardines Triathlon club developed the event, which has been held at Campagne Pastré and Fontainieu before its current format at Luminy.
