The Duathlon de Neuves-Maisons is a run-bike-run event held on a March weekend in Neuves-Maisons, located in France’s Meurthe-et-Moselle department. It functions as the departmental championship for department 54. The event features distinct races for children, teenagers, and adults, with the day progressing from shorter youth formats to a more demanding adult race involving multiple transitions.
The youngest participants, aged 6 to 9, complete a 250 m run, 1 km bike, and a 250 m run. Those aged 10 to 13 cover 750 m, 5 km, and 750 m. The XS race, open to participants aged 13 and older, consists of 2.5 km running, 10 km cycling, and 1.25 km running. The S race, for those 16 and up, can be completed individually or as a two-person relay, including a 2.5 km run, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run, 10 km bike, and a final 2.5 km run. Bibs are distributed at the Neuves-Maisons football stadium. The event includes online registration, timing, food, a refreshment stand, and separate award ceremonies for youth and adult competitors.
