The Duathlon RSSC takes place in early March at Stade Guy Drut in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, located near Tours in France’s Centre-Val de Loire region. Its name originates from RSSC’s playful expansion: “Run, Souffre, Sue, Courbatures,” capturing the event’s spirit of running, suffering, sweating, and experiencing post-race soreness. The duathlon includes XS and S formats, alongside youth races, making it accessible beyond seasoned multisport competitors.
The course follows the typical duathlon structure: a run, followed by a bike leg, and concluding with a final run to the finish. The Open S is a 27.5 km individual race for adults, with separate courses provided for children and juniors in their respective categories. RSSC Triathlon, a branch of Réveil Sportif Triathlon, manages the event with assistance from the Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire municipality. This series has a history spanning multiple editions.
