The Duathlon Sprint d'Hope Estate - Marigot begins early Sunday morning in front of Pac Distribution in Hope Estate, near Marigot on the French side of Saint Martin. It is a short run-bike-run event: 5 km on foot, 20 km by bike, followed by a 2.5 km run. Athletes may compete individually or as a two-person team, with one runner and one cyclist.
The route is contained within Hope Estate. Runners complete a 1.25 km loop within the estate before the cycling leg. Riders will then proceed onto the national road for three loops between the Hope Estate roundabout and the entrance to the Cite Scolaire in La Savane. The final 2.5 km run returns to the Hope Estate running loop. Drafting is permitted in same-gender races and team categories, indicated by colored bibs. The main duathlon is open to participants aged 14 and older, with parental consent required for minors. A separate 1.5 km run for younger children takes place later in the morning. SXM TRI Academie, with PAC Distribution, organizes the event.
