Ekiden de l'estuaire - Saint-Nazaire 2027

The Ekiden de l'estuaire is a six-runner team marathon relay in Saint-Nazaire, on France's Atlantic coast. It is held in April at the Plaine des sports Leo Lagrange, with the start in front of La Soucoupe, the city's large sports and events hall. Each team covers the marathon distance through relay legs, with every runner using the same course and handing over at exchange points. It is not a qualifier for the French Championship, so the day favors club teams, local runners, and groups who want the relay format without championship pressure. Each year, part of the entry fees is donated to an association, adding a community purpose to the race beyond the team result.
