At the Golf International de Roissy, the Ekiden de Roissy Pays de France transforms a marathon into a six-runner relay. The team completes the full 42.195 km marathon distance, with each runner completing a segment instead of one person running the entire race. It takes place in April and follows the Japanese ekiden format, where the collective result is as important as the individual segments.
The race is designed for diverse groups, not exclusively fast club teams. Licensed runners, non-licensed runners, clubs, company teams, students, families, beginners, and casual runners are all welcome, and participation is free. The event is held on the Roissy golf course, placing it in a green, open setting rather than a congested city-road circuit. Following the race, participants can view published results and photographs from the event.
