Ekiden fiducial - Saint-Nazaire 2027

Six runners completed the Ekiden FIDUCIAL marathon in Saint-Nazaire, covering relay legs of 5 km, 10 km, 5 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 7.195 km. The race takes place on a Sunday morning at Parc Paysager, beginning at 9:30, and is organized by Estuaire Athletic Club with support from the City of Saint-Nazaire. The event has been held for over ten editions, attracting a substantial field; one edition recorded a high of 130 teams (780 runners), while another featured 54 six-person teams. The relay structure provides a practical team dynamic, requiring speed for the short legs, two 10 km runners, and an athlete for the challenging final 7.195 km. Competitive clubs participate, with Nantes Métropole Athlétisme winning the men's race in 2:27:18 and Athletic Clubs du Littoral 44 winning the women's race in 3:01:19.
