Fête des marrons - Gillonnay 2026

The Fête des marrons races are part of Gillonnay’s autumn chestnut festival, with running events linked to a village day centered on grilled chestnuts. The program features a 20 km Trail XS and cross-country races. The event has surpassed fifty editions and continues to attract enough runners to set participation records. The course details are sparse, but the day combines local racing with community efforts: Yann Citerin won the men’s cross, Flavie Luc-Pupat won the women’s cross, and Morgan served a third time as a joëlette pilot for Dunes d’espoir. The festival aspect is integral, with 80 kg of chestnuts grilled and distributed to participants, while local conscripts managed parking; mountain bikers and hikers had avoided the area the previous day due to inclement weather.
