Fleurbaix J'y Cours is a race and walk series held in Fleurbaix, a village in Pas-de-Calais, Hauts-de-France, on the first Sunday of March. The program includes road racing, trail running, Nordic walking, and a nature walk, featuring multiple start times and distances. The road events offer a 10 km and a half marathon on flat, closed roads, designed for participants aiming for specific times, with pacemakers and French championship qualifying opportunities. Children's races for ages 7 to 15 are free, with distances tailored to each age group.
The course options divide the day between speed and nature. The 10 km and half marathon are flat, suitable for personal best attempts. The 10 km has start waves and pacers from 40 minutes to 1 hour, while the half marathon pacers cover 1:30 to 2:00. Trail events utilize paths, parks, and the area between Fleurbaix and Erquinghem-Lys, including a 15 km discovery trail mostly on paths and a timed 15 km Nordic walking race. Walkers can select a 12 km nature route in Nordic walking or freestyle, with a 9 km shortcut available. The association Fleurbaix j'y cours et j'y marche organizes the event with support from Club Wambrechies, the Nordic walking club of Erquinghem-Lys, local groups, the municipality, and volunteers. The series is approaching its 40th edition.
