La Foulée des Éoliennes is a small outdoor race in Névian, France’s Aude region, offering three options: a 13 km trail run, an 11 km timed Nordic walk, and a 7 km hike. The trail is the primary race, featuring 400 m of elevation gain, and is open to participants aged 17 and up; the Nordic walk is open to those aged 16 and up.
The route follows open paths with views of the local wind turbines, the event’s namesake. It is a community race with a few hundred participants, course marshals, two aid stations on the trail, and one at the finish. All proceeds benefit cancer research, making the charity aspect integral to the event’s purpose.
