レースについて
The Foulées castelnodaises take place on a Sunday morning in Noyal-Châtillon-sur-Seiche, south of Rennes. The event includes a nature race, a 10 km race, a two-person duo option, and children's races. The 10 km and duo races begin in the Petite Saudraie area, while the longer nature race starts in front of Espace Louis Texier. Approximately 1,400 competitors participate, and the event is organized by Cercle Paul Bert athlétisme.
The race has local origins, initially named the Foulées chatillonnaises before Noyal and Châtillon merged. It was established by the festival committee under Claude Fontaine. Its initial format was a 15 km nature race, primarily on paths with some road sections. Recent adverse weather led to a modification of part of the 10 km route due to flooding on the planned opening section. The revised route is marked for race day, utilizing local roads and a portion of the REV. The children's races remain part of the program, ensuring the event caters to a wider audience beyond club runners and 10 km specialists.
