Foulées de la baie de Guissény is a 10.1 km nature race in Guissény, a village in north Finistère about 35 km from Brest. It is run in late January, starts at the Jean Fily multipurpose hall, and maintains a local club feel with a field capped at 1,000 runners. The main race begins in the morning, and the 10 km distance draws the most attention, with over 800 participants at the previous edition.
The course is divided into three sections: one-third asphalt, one-third country paths, and one-third coastal trail along the bay. La Flèche Guissénienne organizes the race. The club is more than a race committee; its approximately 80 members include runners, walkers, Nordic walkers, mountain bikers, and cyclists. This background is significant, as the event originates from a year-round local sports association, not a commercial setup.
