The Foulées de Malakoff is a road race in Malakoff, southwest of Paris in the Hauts-de-Seine department, held annually since 1976. It features two main distances: a 5 km race and a 10 km race, both officially measured and carrying the FFA Bronze Label. The event attracts thousands of runners through the town's streets, including club athletes, competitive runners, amateurs, and families. The 5 km is a single loop open to handisport participants, while the 10 km is a classified and qualifying race for those seeking a recorded performance.
The course combines city streets with parkland sections, with the current layout using one lap for the 5 km and two laps for the 10 km. The 10 km includes pacemakers for 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60 minutes, along with an elite start pen, catering to runners aiming for specific times. Preferential start pens are also available for both distances with proof of performance. The race has reached its 50th edition, reflecting its long local history as an athletics day organized by USM Malakoff Omnisports. Practicalities are well-addressed: runners can arrive via Metro Line 13 or Train N, and facilities include changing rooms, bag drop, and finish-line refreshments.
