Foulées de Savigny is a road race in Savigny-sur-Orge, south of Paris, offering two certified distances: 5 km at 9:00 and 10 km at 10:00. This marks the 35th edition, with both races qualifying runners for the French Championships. The 10 km holds additional significance for club athletes as it hosts the L.I.F.A Championship and the Essonne Championship.
The event is designed for runners, not a general family festival; it excludes children’s races, walking events, dogs, or strollers. The 5 km is open to younger teens and adults, while the 10 km has an older minimum age group. Licensed runners from FFA, FFH, and FFSA receive a small entry discount. Organizers anticipate many athletes with disabilities from the Ile-de-France region. On the 5 km, a young club runner, Romain, will lead a 25-minute pace group, providing mid-pack runners a specific goal. Team challenge prizes have been replaced with individual gift vouchers, and a collector T-shirt is available for purchase.
