Gapen'cimes 2026

Gapen'cimes is an autumn trail-running weekend in Gap, France, known as the “gentle capital” of the Southern Alps. Races take place on the mountain terrain above the city. Sunday's longer options include the Marathon des 3 Cols, a 47 km route with 2,250 m of climbing, and the Trail des Crêtes, a 28 km race with 1,280 m of climbing. Saturday's events are closer to town on the trails of Saint-Mens hill, a natural area just outside Gap's center. The main routes circle Charance, Gap’s landmark mountain. Its eastern side features an exposed ridge line, while the western side alternates between pastures and forest. From the higher elevations, runners view Gap, the Champsaur, and the Dévoluy. The event has been held since 2009, and Gap possesses a long mountain-running history, including a world championship and numerous national and international races. The City of Gap organizes the event with assistance from the 4th Chasseurs Regiment, Gap Hautes-Alpes Athlétisme, the French Athletics Federation, and many volunteers.
