Gonfa'Trail is a trail-running event held in April in Gonfaron, a commune in the Var department of southern France. It provides three off-road distances: 12 km, 29 km, and 47 km, allowing runners to select from a short hilly outing to a long mountain-style race. Participation is limited to 500 runners, and the event is organized by the local association Gonfa'run Sport Plaisir.
The routes follow hiking trails through Gonfaron, Pignans, and Les Mayons, with the Massif des Maures as the primary terrain. The 12 km course includes 380 m of elevation gain, the 29 km has 1500 m, and the 47 km has 2200 m, indicating that even the middle distance presents a significant trail challenge. Runners compete in semi-autonomy; aid stations are available, but participants must carry their own provisions and required equipment. Sportips manages the timing using electronic chips on bibs, and entrants require either a valid sports license or a Pass Prevention Sante.
