The Grand Trail des Vallons de la Vilaine, or GT2V, is an April trail-running event held in Brittany, approximately 15 kilometers south of Rennes. It is based around Laillé and Bourg des Comptes, within the Pays des Vallons de la Vilaine, a region comprising about forty communes in Ille-et-Vilaine. The event offers a range of distances, from a short 11 km race to a semi-autonomous ultra of roughly 75 to 76 km with approximately 1,500 meters of elevation gain. The GT2V is part of the UTMB Index.
The long course begins and concludes at the Les Noës sports complex in Bourg des Comptes when the event is headquartered there. Runners follow Breton country trails, crossing forest paths, passing châteaux, and crossing the river valleys that define the race's identity. Relay options and a night-race format are available, catering to participants beyond solo ultra runners. The event also provides support to La Cordée Bretonne, the regional chapter of A Chacun son Everest, assisting children during their recovery, their families, and hospitals.
