Hivernal Caminottrail is a winter trail weekend in Lerm-et-Musset, Gironde, centered on the Saint-Blaise festival. Racing begins Saturday evening with headlamp nature runs of 9 km and 13 km. Sunday morning offers 9 km, 13 km, and 17 km trail options, alongside a 9 km canicross and a 9 km walk. The longest route, while short for a trail race, includes a significant climb of approximately 300 m elevation gain over its 17 km.
The routes traverse countryside and forest before reaching the Barthos area, where runners encounter narrow single tracks alongside the water. The terrain combines forest paths, technical single track, and water crossings, presenting a muddy local trail outing rather than a road race. Organized by Caminotayres and the festival committee, the event supports the fight against limb-girdle myopathies. Post-race activities include refreshments, food, music, and a Saint-Blaise meal. Sunday typically draws about 225 participants, fostering a village race atmosphere where runners, walkers, canicross teams, and festival visitors interact.
