Jarras classic - Aigues-Mortes 2027

The Jarras Classic is a running race held within the Domaine Royal de Jarras, a 914-hectare vineyard situated near the ramparts of Aigues-Mortes in southern France. While the exact timing is not specified, the inaugural event attracted 239 participants to the estate for a race designed to highlight both the sport and the vineyard's setting. The course guides runners through the Royal Jarras grounds, adjacent to the medieval walls of Aigues-Mortes, with the natural scenery providing a significant backdrop. Aurélie Bastide, a nurse transitioning into event management, and Yann Froge, an air traffic controller, lead the organization with their team. The race also benefits Association Marcella, founded by Didier Garcia after he cared for his parents. His father had Charcot’s disease, and his mother lives with Alzheimer’s. The association provides support to caregivers looking after relatives affected by age, illness, or disability.
