L'Émancéenne is a mid-September road race held in Émancé, a commune in the Yvelines department of Île-de-France. It is located approximately 50 kilometers from Paris and 10 kilometers from Rambouillet. Adult participants can select between a 5 km or 10 km race, while younger participants have 400 m and 800 m options. This structure allows the event to function as a family race day, accommodating more than just dedicated runners.
The 5 km course consists of a single loop, and the 10 km course comprises two loops. Both are run on paved roads, not trails. The route incorporates village streets alongside natural sections surrounding Émancé, offering participants a blend of urban and rural scenery within the road race format. The event includes categories starting from the Poussin youth level, aiming for a welcoming and approachable atmosphere. Post-race, nearby attractions in Rambouillet include its former royal and presidential château, and the Rambouillet forest provides opportunities for hiking or mountain biking.
