L’Odyssée Beaujolaise begins in Fleurie, a village in France’s Beaujolais wine region, held in early April. This trail race series offers four distances: 12 km, 21 km, 33 km, and 90 km, accommodating short-trail runners, half-marathon-style trail runners, and those seeking a long ultra day.
The courses traverse Beaujolais vineyards, forest paths, and open natural terrain in the Rhône area of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The series evolved from the former Trail des Foulées Beaujolaises, which attracted around 1,500 participants before the rebranding. Organized by the Club des Foulées Beaujolaises of Villefranche-sur-Saône, the event highlights the region’s wine, landscape, and local history.
