La André Paugam is a Sunday charity sports event in Ploubezre, Brittany, built around cycling and local participation. The race carries the motto “Courir pour la vie, courir pour Curie,” and its purpose is direct: raising money for cancer research, with proceeds going to the Institut Curie.
The event is organized by the Amicale des cyclos et vététistes and has run for about 25 years, with 27 editions recorded. A typical field is around 240 participants, including a peloton of about 170 cyclists riding the roads around Ploubezre and the surrounding area.
