La Bisou is a road cyclosportive held in Péronnas, located in the Ain department of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Taking place in mid-October, it focuses on mountain and nature riding, distinct from a flat speed event. This event is noted as the department’s first cyclosportive, featuring two main route options: 75 km for the Petite Bisou and 137 km for more capable riders.
The Aventure route, measuring 94 km, is positioned between the other two distances. It ascends into the Revermont region, with its hilly roads and expansive views over a rugged natural landscape. This route is designed for regular cyclists seeking a genuine sporting challenge without undertaking the maximum distance. Participants are advised to bring appropriate footwear, a helmet, and their best cycling attire. The event concludes with a convivial club-style atmosphere, rather than a formal race-day ambiance.
