La Corrida de Sedan is a short night race held in Sedan, located in the Ardennes area of France’s Grand Est region. It typically takes place on a Saturday in early December. The primary race covers approximately 7.8 km, commencing at 8 PM from Place Crussy. Organizers state this distance ensures all participants begin on the same start line.
Participants complete three circuits of the city-centre streets, passing through the courtyard of the Château Fort de Sedan on each lap. The race concludes a day centered around the city’s Christmas market, lending it a local winter-evening atmosphere rather than that of a typical road race. UCIA, Club Athlétique Sedanais, and AS Sommer jointly organize the event, which has attracted between 400 and 500-plus runners in recent years.
