La Corrida Lentignoise is an 8 km race in Lentigny, starting from Place de la Mairie in the village center. The main event is run in the afternoon as three loops of about 2.65 km. There is a timed race for licensed runners or PPS holders and an untimed open version for those who wish to run without formal race paperwork. The event also includes shorter youth races: a 1,400 m race for ages 12 to 15 and a 1,000 m race for ages 7 to 11.
The day incorporates St. Patrick’s Day and the local Beer Festival. Costumes are strongly encouraged, finishers receive a beer, and a free concert follows the racing. An 8 km St. Patrick’s walk offers a non-running option. The fastest 20 men and 20 women from the Corrida advance to an American-style elimination race on a 400 m loop, where runners are eliminated lap by lap until a single winner remains. Group entries are available for three or more people. The practical setup includes bib pickup, changing rooms, showers, podium awards, food, and on-site registration with a small surcharge.
