La Course des Citrouilles 2026

La Course des Citrouilles is a running event held annually in late October in Douchy-Montcorbon, located in the east of Loiret, since 2010. Its name translates to “Pumpkin Race,” aligning with its autumn timing. The event focuses on accessible local road races, not a singular elite competition. It is part of the Challenge du Gâtinais and is organized by SAM Run Trail Events, offering races for both adults and younger participants. The primary event is a 10 km race commencing in the village center and proceeding into the Montcorbon countryside along a course certified by the French Athletics Federation. A shorter 5 km race and youth events are also available, ensuring club runners, casual participants, families, and newcomers can select an appropriate distance. Approximately 350 runners have participated in recent years, with local teams like 3CBO frequently returning, contributing to a strong community atmosphere.
