La Course Forest begins in Ferrière-sur-Beaulieu, bordering the Forêt domaniale de Loches in Indre-et-Loire. Organized by Sport Santé Genillé, this spring trail-running event has a limited capacity of 600 participants. Runners can typically choose from various forest distances, including short races for youth and longer trails; some years also offer a hiking option.
The primary courses traverse the Loches state forest, avoiding town streets. Recent events have featured the 31 km La Jenny trail, the 21 km La Gump trail, and the 12 km La Bubba trail. The 3 km ChocoTrail is for younger participants aged 12 to 15. Bibs are distributed on-site before each race upon presentation of identification, aligning with the event's straightforward, community-focused organization.
