La Courzapat' is a Halloween-night trail event held in Courzieu, located in the Rhône department of France's Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Organized by Les Traileurs Des Monts, it centers on night running and walking, incorporating headlamps, forest paths, and costumes into the evening's activities. The event features an 11 km trail with 500 m of elevation gain, a 25 km trail with 1,130 m of elevation gain, an 11 km hike, and L'Azimut, a night race format with distances ranging from 16 to 25 km.
Both main trail races commence at 9:00 PM. The hike departs from the Courzieu multipurpose hall at 9:15 PM and is designed for a relaxed pace. Dogs are permitted on the hike, and the event also offers canitrail and canicross options, meaning some participants will be accompanied by canine partners. Aid stations are available along the courses, bib collection opens at 7:00 PM, and registration is managed online. The Halloween theme is embraced, with participants encouraged to wear their best costumes.
