La Créative Chantepie is a road race held in late November in Chantepie, a town in Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany. The primary event is a 10 km race on roads through the town and a public park. This single-loop race has a field limit of 2,200 runners aged 16 and over. It is the main distance offered and typically attracts a large local audience, with over 1,000 participants in the last edition.
The route heads toward Chantepie’s newer districts and includes a climb on Chemin de Cucé, making it more than just a flat town run. The day also features a free 5 km race for 16- to 25-year-olds, capped at 500 participants, and children’s races of 800 m and 2,000 m for younger age groups. Minors require parental authorization and a health questionnaire. The event supports sponsored charities. The 10 km race, preparing for its 26th edition, is a well-established fixture on Brittany’s running calendar.
