La Défi 47 offers road cyclists four route options starting from the Myre-Mory Sports Complex in Villeneuve-sur-Lot: a 30 km family ride, a 47 km rando, an 80 km Cyclo, and a 130 km Granfondo. This event takes place in mid-April in Lot-et-Garonne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It combines timed racing with leisurely rides; the Cyclo and Granfondo are timed challenges, whereas the rando and family options are for participants not seeking a ranking.
The routes traverse communes, fortified towns, villages, and rural areas within the Grand Villeneuvois and Lot-et-Garonne regions. The 80 km Cyclo is suited for riders seeking a medium-distance challenge, while the 130 km Granfondo is intended for experienced cyclists. The participants include club riders, competitive cyclists, amateurs, and families. Recent Villeneuve editions attracted slightly over a thousand participants, with organizers targeting around 1,200. The event also features a village at Myre-Mory with local producers, partners, bike shops, associations, food, and entertainment. Former professional cyclist Pierrick Fédrigo acts as patron.
