La Forestière is a friendly nature trail race in Bar-le-Duc, in the Meuse department of northeastern France, with its routes set in the Forêt du Haut-Juré. It is usually run in early March after moving from its old September-October slot, a change the organizers say gives the race a better chance of mild weather and keeps it away from clashes with other local trail events.
Runners choose between two short off-road distances, including an 8 km route with about 100 metres of climbing and a 16 km option. The course goes through the Forêt Domaniale du Haut-Juré on mixed woodland paths, with clearings, dense vegetation, and moderate elevation rather than mountain-style climbing. ASPTT Bar-le-Duc Meuse Grand Sud organizes the race, with Enrique Crassat coordinating alongside Claire Laurent and Benjamin Domange, and recent editions have filled both distances before race day.
