A Himalayan footbridge above the Poncellamont gorges marks a signature moment of La Frison Roche, a summer mountain trail series in Beaufort, located in the Beaufortain area of Savoie. The event is organized by the Ski Club of Arêches-Beaufort, in conjunction with the Tourist Office and the municipality of Beaufort. It has been a fixture in Savoyard running for over two decades.
The schedule begins with Kid'Roche and the Mini-Frison Roche, a 7 km course encircling Beaufort-sur-Doron and its surrounding hamlets, suitable for running or walking without official timing. Sunday features the Petite Frison at 17 km, crossing forests, meadows, and Beaufortain hamlets. The main event, the 42 km La Frison Roche, follows the Roche Parstire ridges, overlooking the Arêches and Roselend valley, with vistas towards Mont Blanc, Roc du Vent, and Pierra Mentac.
