La Galoupadenn des Timouns is a trail event held in early January in Guingamp, Côtes-d’Armor, featuring two running distances: 8 km and 13 km. A walking circuit is also available, making the day suitable for more than just runners. Its timing is a key element of its appeal, occurring just after New Year when many are eager to resume activity following holiday indulgences.
The route incorporates the Trieux footbridges, providing a distinct local landmark within Guingamp instead of a generic trail loop. The event, organized by Solidarité pour les Timouns d’Haïti, generates support for Haitian children still impacted by the earthquake. It has been held since the early 2010s with a single interruption, and the organizers have maintained a consistent format due to returning participants, although the number of walkers has occasionally been lower than that of runners.
