La Gambade du Loubatas is a March trail race held in Peyrolles-en-Provence, located in the Bouches-du-Rhône department of southern France. Participants can choose between two distances: a 10 km course featuring approximately 250 meters of elevation gain, and a 20 km course with around 600 meters of climbing. The event is organized by the BVH Club Peyrollais, maintaining a low-key, nature-oriented character distinct from a large urban race.
The courses traverse the forestland of Provence surrounding the Eco-Gîte du Loubatas, within the Grand Site Concors Sainte-Victoire. Runners will navigate sections of the historic Verdon canal, pass by former quarries, and ascend to vantage points offering views of the Concors and Luberon mountain ranges. The routes have been adjusted to comply with the area’s environmental regulations, aligning with the race’s straightforward, nature-centric ethos.
