La Gana'trail des Lumières 2026

La Gana'trail des Lumières is a night trail event held in Genay, a town in France's Rhône department. Taking place in late November, it offers adults three options: an untimed 8.7 km Nordic walk, an 8.7 km trail run, and a 15 km trail run. Shorter courses are available for children and juniors, ensuring the event includes participants of all ages. The runs begin after dark, with the longer trail starting first, followed by the shorter one. The 8.7 km route includes up to 170 metres of elevation gain, and the 15 km route features up to 300 metres. This provides a challenging trail experience rather than a flat road race. VVal de Saône Athlétisme organizes the event. The race is significant enough locally that buses in Genay may be rerouted or have their routes shortened during the event.
