La Landasienne d'Octobre Rose is a running and walking event in Landas, a village in France's Nord department approximately 30 minutes from Lille. Since 2015, it has raised funds for breast cancer research, with a portion of each entry fee contributed to the Ligue contre le Cancer, including its Nord branch. Participants can choose between 5 km or 10 km for the adult races, with children’s races covering 800 m and 1500 m, alongside walking routes of 5, 12, and 17 km.
The course is a single countryside loop, contributing to a local community feel rather than a competitive race. ECLA organizes the event, catering to runners, walkers, families, club athletes, and beginners. Music groups are present along the route, with one situated around the 4 km mark. Runners also benefit from pacemakers and a refreshment station at 5 km. The event's structure emphasizes collective movement in support of breast cancer research over achieving fast times.
