La Massingienne begins in Massingy, a commune in Haute-Savoie near the Massif des Bauges Regional Natural Park. It is a trail event held in early March, offering three running distances: La Vergone at 9 km with 330 m of elevation gain, Le Lénard at 18 km with 660 m, and La Néphaz at approximately 34 km with 1,370 to 1,400 m of climbing.
The event also provides walking routes of 8 km and 13 km, both featuring significant elevation gain. It attracts individuals seeking a moderate outdoor activity as well as runners aiming for a challenging course near the mountains. This race recently marked its 10th edition, is organized by a small local group, and depends significantly on volunteers and partners. Funds generated benefit local causes, such as initiatives related to 1 Mil'Lya Et Coup de Coeur.
