La Meldoise begins on the beach in Meaux, Seine-et-Marne, leading runners into the Parc Naturel du Pâtis. This spring nature-running event supports charities, with a portion of entry fees and merchandise sales benefiting cancer organizations like the Ligue contre le cancer de Seine-et-Marne and AVACS. The main event is La Meldoise 100% femmes, a 7.5 km women-only race. The day also features children’s races, a 5 km walk, Nordic walking, relay races, canicross for all ages, and a run-and-bike competition.
The course winds through the park’s varied terrain, including sand, woodland trails, field edges, suspension bridges, and paths along the Marne River. Participants will pass the swan pond and beach area before entering the wooded sections of Le Pâtis, creating an atmosphere more akin to a local outdoor gathering than a traditional road race. Organized by the city of Meaux sports department with partners and volunteers, the event attracts a diverse audience, accommodating walkers, families, dog runners, relay teams, and competitive runners.
