La Melusine Transmerventaise is a Sunday morning cycling and walking event held in Saint-Michel-le-Cloucq, located in the Vendée department of western France. The primary focus is mountain biking, featuring several VTT routes extending up to 56 km, alongside a distinct 15 km ride designed for children aged 7 to 12. Participants can begin their rides within the morning window from 7:30 to 10:00, with the children’s VTT ride having a specific 9:30 start time.
The event functions as a multi-route outdoor excursion rather than a competitive race. In addition to the mountain bike courses, walkers can select shorter circuits of approximately 8, 13, or 17-18 km. Road/cyclo and gravel cyclists are also offered longer routes spanning 40-75 km. The Club SVF is the organizing body, and registration is available both online and on-site. The pricing structure ensures affordability, with children under 12 participating for free and reduced fees for walkers and licensed cyclists.
