La Mirabal is a 5 km and 10 km running event at Parc du Tremblay in Champigny-sur-Marne, held on the last Sunday of November for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. It is organized by Tremplin 94 Solidarité Femmes with support from the Val-de-Marne Departmental Council. Its purpose is to run, walk, and gather people around equality and the fight against violence against women.
The program includes youth and children’s races, an Avenir race, and a commitment walk open to all. A free information and awareness village runs alongside the sport, giving the day a civic role. Women, men, children, young people, athletes, non-athletes, associations, institutions, local authorities, and companies are all part of the crowd. Residents of Champigny can join the “Champigny” team in the walk to compete for the trophy for the largest team. The emergency number highlighted by the event is 3919.
