La Neyrolande is a trail race in Neyron, a village near Lyon, offering 11 km, 22 km, and 33 km distances. Participants can run solo, in pairs, or as a team, catering to those testing themselves over shorter distances and stronger runners seeking a challenge. The 22 km race involves a 500-meter climb and descent, with a 4-hour time limit and two aid stations.
The course follows the paths of the côtière around Neyron, passing local landmarks like the Sermenaz battery and the Virgin of Mas Riller. The 22 km event is substantial for a village trail race, attracting about 800 participants, and awards ITRA Mountain Level finisher points within the 300 National League. The finish maintains a local character, with runners returning to a family-friendly village atmosphere and a beer post-race.
