La nuit des mangeurs de pied is a night urban trail race in Sainte-Menehould, a town in the Marne department of Grand Est, France. It is run in late October and offers short, accessible formats: 8 km and 12 km trail races, plus an 8 km walk. The event also supports a charitable cause, so the evening is built around more than just finishing times.
Both running distances use a single-loop course through the town, with modest climbing rather than mountain-style terrain. The 8 km trail has about 80 metres of elevation gain, while the 12 km version adds about 100 metres and is listed as the most popular option. The previous edition drew more than 200 participants, which gives it the feel of a local community race rather than a huge mass event.
