La Ripagérienne is a local road race in Rive-de-Gier, located in France's Loire department. The event features accessible 5 km and 10 km races, both beginning in the morning. Entry fees are modest, and registration is open to licensed runners and non-licensed runners who submit a PPS health clearance.
The inaugural event attracted approximately 450 participants, contributing to the race's community-focused atmosphere rather than a large-city feel. The Union des commerçants Les Rues2Rives, the local merchants' association, organizes the event. The scheduled second edition was canceled, with entries automatically transferred to La Course des Babets in Saint-Étienne for the same distance and price. Refunds were available for those who preferred not to transfer their entry.
