La Traque au Darou takes runners into the Kemberg massif above Saint-Dié-des-Vosges for a winter trail race structured around repeated loops and minor challenges. It is not a direct point-to-point run. Participants can enter solo or as part of a team, linking trail loops while managing additional tasks set along the way.
The shorter option, La Ptite Traque, features a 3 km loop with 100 m of elevation gain, which runners can complete up to four times. The event also provides a longer format, and the day culminates in a final “great hunt.” The association La Poursuite au Darou organizes it, and the race embraces a playful Vosges atmosphere, with laughter, a festive mood, and occasional snow on the trails.
